At the time he was attempting to adopt a Korean boy he had given the name "Casey". We were in the 38th Ordnance Company (DS) He wrote me in Korea as he thought I was still there and asked me to do some work in the adoption process and take Casey to see a Ms Hong with the Korean Child Adoption Agency and the letter was forwared to me in the states to my address of record. Due to a set of circumstances my grandfather received the letter and I never received it. My grandfather died in his ninetys and some of his belongings were finally given to me a few years ago by his wife and I found the letter in a book. Phil gave a return address of Portland, Oregon on the letter. The address appears to be Tilmaook St NE. I wrote to the address when I found the letter but it came back.. I have wondered for many years what happened and if Casey made it to the United States.. Any information would be appreciated. Norm Taliaferro
