Irene E. Oldham Memorial services for Irene E. Oldham, 85, of Longview will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Lakeview Mausoleum Chapel with Chaplain Ron Barber officiating. She passed away Sunday afternoon in a local nursing home. Ms. Oldham was born Jan. 3, 1913, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She loved to bowl, was secretary of several leagues, and a member of the Woman's Bowling Association. She was an airplane pilot during the 1930's. Survivors include her cousins, Juanita Pacey, LaVeta Talbutt, Betty June Brooks, Verna Jean Oldham, Grace Hearn and Eula Mae Robertson. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to Hospice of Longview. [Published March 17, 1998]
