    1. Wichita Falls in 1890
    2. Thought everyone would like to see a view of Wichita Falls in the 1890's. Especially those of you who are transcribing the early newspapers. I am finding a lot of obituaries that state "he lived on the corner of Ninth and Ohio, etc. and I thought that this was strange until I saw the photo at the link below. There was NO downtown back then. They were all homes in what we now know as downtown. Be sure to use the "Plus" sign at the bottom of the photo. It will enlarge it so you can see every detail of the picture! 3. There was a Bessie KOLTER who died in Wichita County on 7 Jul 1943, file #35166. Perhaps a relative? I searched TX Birth Records from 1913-1922 for Billie J. KOLTER. Didn't find any KOLTERs born in TX during those years. Bill Allen <misterbill@pdq.net>

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/RAC.2ACI/1523 Message Board Post: Neva A. Stubblefield was my aunt, my father's sister. She died of cancer and is buried at Burkbennett Cemetery, or at least that's what we have been told. We didn't find out until a month after the fact, that she had died. We are trying to find her descendants, we lost touch with her in the 1950's but have been told she had 7 - 9 children. I am hoping that her obituary will give me some clues as to the whereabouts of her children. Her first husband was Glenn R. Duncan and most of the children are his, but she had two other relationships and possibly children were born to these also. One of her brothers and one of her sisters are still living but in very failing health. They have lost the addresses and information that they once had and their memories of her are fading. She was the youngest of 8 children whose father died during the depression. She was born after his death and remained with her mother into her early teens but hardship forced her to go to live with an aunt, th! en she married at an early age and moved to Texas. Any help will be appreciated.
