There is a Vian OK in Sequoyah county which was formed when OK became a State taking it's name from the Sequoyah district of the Cherokee Nation. A check of the 1900 Cherokee census shows a Henry M Paris, born appx 1859 in TN and a John B Parris, 1837, TN. I checked the transcribed records for Wichita county on Rootsweb and did not find any children born to a Betty Parris Fregia in this county. http://www.rootsweb.com/~txgenweb/
Hi Pat, I searched the TX Death Records from 1903 to 1955. This is the only REYNOLDS I found who died in Wichita County: Arthur REYNOLDS died in Wichita County on 16 Dec 1954, file #64085. She is supposedly from Wichita Falls, Texas. Of course, she could have moved, and I have no idea what her husband's name was. If anybody knows where she is, could you please let me know or you could have her e-mail me. Her old e-mail address bounces. Thanks very much. OR - even have her write to the Strickland list. Betty FREGIA is not in the TX Death Records (1941-98). She's not in the Social Security Death Index. Checking the Social Security Death Index there is one Betty Lou Fregia who died 26 Dec, 1990. Could this be her? Julie

Recently someone from the list sent me an e-mail regarding the death of AF CONLEY. The e-mail has apparently been deleted in error. This kind person found information in the city hall death records #986 relating to his death 1-14-1928 in Electra, TX. This information also said that his body was returned to WV for burial. Someone else from the list sent me his obituary from the Wichita Daily Times 1-16-1928. The obit does not mention his wives name or anything about the burial. Could this person please let me know how I can order a copy of these records from city hall. If there is an address or a phone # I would appreciate it. Thanks for your help. Pat

I am looking for information on the death of Francis Conley, died 1-16-1928 in Electra, Texas. Anyone have access to records of Totten Brothers Funeral Home? Is this in Electra? A gracious fellow lister sent me a copy of the obituary, however it gives very little information. It mentions only that he and his wife ??? came to Electra six years ago from Parksburg, VA. I believe this may have been Parkersburg, WV, I have been unable to locate a Parksburg, VA. Would like to know where his burial is located, his wives name, maybe his parents. It does say he has a son David and a brother Walter Conley of Parksburg, Va. Maybe if I could get a copy of the funeral arrangements/records from Totten Brothers Funeral home, I could answer some of these questions. Any help on this family is greatly appreciated. This is very strange, I find Walker W. Taylor, who died July 20, 1945 not William W. Is it possible that the stone is wrong and they never corrected it? 5110 RV4496 Taylor Walker W. Oct. 24, 1902 July 20, 1945 If the death record says William but the stone says Walker both with the same date of death then something seems wrong! I will be glad to send you a picture of the stone if you want it, just let me know. Julie
