Can someone tell me where Parks, Texas is or was?
Hi all, Thank all who have helped me to find information concerning my Aunt's family in Wichita Falls. My Aunt, Nelle McIlheran Jones had parents who lived in Wichita Falls, TX. I wonder if it possible to find an Obituary for them. He was William McIlheran who died in Wichita Falls 18 Dec 1928. His wife, Nellie McIlheran was in the 1930 Census and died in Wichita Falls 31 Oct. 1932. I would so appreciate information about how I might obtain the Obit. to help to find where they are buried. A third member of this family, and am not sure how he fits, but Robert Crisman McIlheran died in Wichita Co. 18 March 1947. Any help will be so greatly appreciated. Mary

Hi all, I wonder if anyone knows if the Wichita Falls Library has a person who might find an obituary for me. It is Aaron A. McIlheran who died 22 Jan 1954 in Wichita Falls. This would be so much appreciated if someone might help me find the person who will be willing to do lookups. Thanks in advance, Mary

Robin, according to the Texas Death Records, there is a James Benjamin Mills who died 5/8/1950 in Wichita Co. Death Cert. # 25758 Nettie Mills died 2/26/50 in Wichita Co. Death Cert. # 9053 If they lived in Iowa Park, they are most likely buried in Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park which is a MESS right now. There are supposedly people buried on top of other people and people buried in plots that were sold to completely different people. I have to go to the library tomorrow so I will get copies of these 2 obituaries for you. Hopefully they will give you some clues. But the death certificates should tell you who their parents are which would get you one more generation. You really will want to send for them. Julie
Hi, Does anyone know of this family? James & Nettie MILLS lived in Witchita Co Texas, near Iowa Park I think, and they should be listed in the 1930 census for that area. I don't have a birth or death date for James but I think Nettie died in 1950. I have their children as (not in birth order) 1.Pearl 2. Mary "Mae" b.1904 married George William Latham 3. Willie married Isabell Latham 4. Carson 5. Johnny 6. Roy 7. Preston 8. Arther West "Adub" 9. James "J.B." 10. Clyde 11. Lora b.1907 married Seeth? Biggerstaff 12. Wesley b.1911 married Irene Adams 13. Riley b.1907 14. Lorene married ?? Moore As you can see I don't have must to start with, Any help would be greatly appreciated. Robin

I don't know if there is anyway that you might be able e-mail me a scanned picture to confirm if it is or not, or I could possibly e-mail one one to you to verify the indentification, although I'm not even sure if my dad has pictures of his mom from the 1940's. Hi all, Thanks so much for those who answered my last question about my Uncle Frank W. Jones and family. In 1930, the family of Frank's wife had mother, Nellie McIlheran , widow, living with 2 youngest daughters, Mary E. McIlheran, and Maude Bartholomew. Maude had 2 young children, Helen about 6 and William Mack born 1927. Husband was Ira Bartholomew, but was not living in the county, and do not know where he was in 1930. I wonder if anyone has any information about when mother Nellie McIlheran died. Could not find her in Death Records, but feel sure she died in Wichita Co. She was born about 186l. Also, wonder how long Maude and William Mack stayed there. Could not find out any information on Internet. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Mary
Hi all, Thanks so much for all of the help and assistance that I received from members of the List recently on my McIlheran family in Wichita Falls, and my Frank W. Jones family. In 1930 a Mrs. Nellie McIlheran, widow was living with her two youngest daughters in Wichita Falls. Her youngest daughter was Maude Bartholomew, and lived there with two young children, about 6 and 3. No husband was listed. If anyone has information about Maude Bartholomew, whose husband's name was Ira, would be so happy to have it. They had at least one child born in Wichita Co. in 1927, and one born??? about 1924. Children were named Helen, and William Mack Bartholomew. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Could not find Maude in death records, or her mother Nelle, but know Nelle did die sometime. THANKS in advance, Mary
