    3. Sarah - It may be a few days before I can get to the library to check on an obituary. I checked the cemetery listings for Wichita Falls, and I didn't find Thomas M. Hankins, but I think there is a typo in the index. The database was typed some years ago into a database for the city parks department, which oversees the city run cemeteries. Over the years I have found many typos. In Rosemont Cemetery I found this information: P. M. Hankins buried on 11 MAR 1936 Section 5 Space 220 Hines Undertaker Given that this person was buried 2 days after the death date you gave, I feel pretty certain this is your Thomas. This section is s single lot section, meaning there are no family pots. Also, there are many unmarked graves in this section. I have to go to Dallas tomorrow, but maybe Wednesday I can stop by there and see if it is marked and get a photo to compare with the index. Also in Rosemont was Tom Hanks, buried on 6 MAR 1947 in Block L, Space 5, Row 3 Owens & Brumley Funeral Home. He died 30 Nov 1995 according to SS listed as Edwin H with same birth, so I am trying to prove if he is indeed who I am looking for and think the obit will confirm or disprove. Thanks Mary

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/RAC.2ACI/1546.1 Message Board Post: Hi Julie, Wish I had known about you last Tuesday. We came to Wichita Falls just to locate my gr-grandfather's grave. His death certificate states burial in Riverside and the obit we found in the newspaper there states he was to be buried at Riverside. The people at the cemetery do not have him listed as being buried there, died August 24, 1915. We stayed 2 days and nights, but went home in a very somber mood. I guess I will never know where he is. He has a granddaughter that was buried in 1910 there and she is not listed as being buried there either. My question. As you are doing your census of each section, is it recorded as a person buried in a space, but no name of who it is? The people at the cemetery found a gr-gr-aunt of mine who was buried there and she did not have a stone. Her name was recorded as the person in that space. All of the surrounding spaces was filled with known relatives some of which had stones, and some who did not including her husband. The gr-grandfather I am looking for is her daddy! If I knew the spaces in the cemetery that had a notation that bodies were buried there, but not known who they were, I might be able to accertain that my gr-grandfather was one of them. I could maybe conclude that it was him by finding out who the people were buried surrounding the unknown person. He may be buried beside other relatives. We may could uncover some of these unknown by the people that surround them. I know it would never be known for sure, but it would be better than nothing at all! Thanks, Dale

He looked up one for me and mailed it along with a billing statement. I was charged all of $1 at that time. I mailed back the money and was very grateful for his help. The only problem you may have is the issue you may end up needing. It might not be on file. We found a lot of ours, a few we did not! Dale

I was at the Dallas Genealogy Library yesterday and found death dates for quite a lot of my family. If you will give me your relatives name, I will look it up for you when I go back there. I hope to be going back next week. We have been on vacation and been to Clayton Library in Houston, Dallas Library, and Wichita Falls Library. You would not believe the info that I have uncovered. I found a gr-gr aunt that I have been looking for 3 years. I finally have her married name and it opened up so much information. I now have her census records that give names and locations of other family. Dale

But I did find one you didn't mention.) Aaron A. Sr. died 22 Jan 1954, file #4869. Their death certificates will tell you where they're buried. You can get their death certificates from the Texas Department of State Health Services. Texas Vital Statistic Forms: http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/vs/reqproc/forms.shtm Wasn't Andrew C. Jelen at the Wichita Falls Public Library able to help you with those obits? Bill Allen <misterbill@pdq.net>
