I hope SKS's mind will be jarred into recognition of this inquiry. I am trying to locate any information on a Rev and Mrs (Christane Gollmer) Heinrich Jacob Pfenninger who spent several years as a Lutheran minister and missionary.....some of it working for Texas Lutheran College when the school was located in Brenham area. According to legend he was Dean of Men and she was in charge if dormitories. I also believe he was pastor somewhere.....I show they lived in Berlin Settlement in mid 1870s.....two children born there....Samuel May 19 1875 and Anna in Nov 11 1876....Lydia, the next child was born Oct 19 1880 in Ruterville, Fayette Co, Tx This gentleman was born in Switzerland and graduated from a Lutheran Seminary in that country. Both Rev and Mrs Pfenninger are buried in the cemetery of St Andrews Lutheran Church in Weesatche, Goliad Co, Tx. I hope someone from the local Genealogy Society or one of the Lutheran Churches may have some history on this family.....They are the GreatGrandparents of my wife - Dorris Ann Loest....and we are also searching the LOEST, ARNECKE and STORBECK names. Bob and Dorris (Loest) Curtis in San Antonio...he is formerly from Cambridge, Guernsey Co, Oh and she is from the Goliad area, Goliad Co, Tx.....
