Most of you already know of this site, but for new TXVICTOR's, it bears sharing again. Intercepted message. bj How to pull up a map of a county. There is a great resource site you should all bookmark - it is the US Governments Name Information Service (GNIS) at: http://mapping.usgs.gov/www/gnis/gnisform.simple.html >From this site, you can search for any "feature" - towns, rivers, cemeteries, townships, and so forth. You can search for a named feature (like "Hometown") or just put "ppl" (populated place) in the feature type block with no name - the database will return all the cities and towns in the county. If you call up a "feature", it will display two maps - one of the U.S. and one of the local area. The local area map can be "zoomed" until you can see the whole county.
