I saw the above site in one of Shari Simond's Sunday Victoria Advocate columns, which deal with various sorts of computer online sites and include some internet genealogy. She's mentioned this one, and it's of Victoria TXVICTOR-L interest. http://home.viptx.net/~stmary/ This is a good site to look at the oldest Victoria Catholic Church built in early Victoria. It has pictures of it as it changed through the years. I think it's interesting, it has a history of it online, plus a couple of their beautiful stained glass windows. (Wish they had shown all of them!) You might want take a peek at this nice site, especially if your roots here are early Catholic, or even if you aren't of Catholic lineage, I bet you like looking at it. It's a beautiful church, inside and out, and the pictures here show all of that. http://www.net-dispatch.net/ While I'm here, let me mention to you more about Shari, who publicized the St. Mary's page. She has an online column at the above site. If you haven't looked at Shari Simond's Victoria Advocate column, or if you can't get the paper with her computer articles, you can at least find her online at the above address. She's a top-notch computer person, and a TOP online genealogist, too. She doesn't do genealogy research work for anyone, though, nor answer questions about our families. Just thought I'd mention that so she won't get requests for searches. Shari Simond's most recent article on genealogy is http://www.net-dispatch.net/archives/10-march-2000.html Her other pages with computer articles are located at her Archives page http://www.net-dispatch.net/archives/ where you will see as you scan the list some other genealogy articles. Have fun! (and thanks, Shari, for your regular help to us computer user folk, via that column) bj
