After that, it's too late, the door is shut. You can send your entire article, pictures included, via comp, if you like, or through ground mail, if you think it can make it in, in time, if you are out of town. She said please contact her at the above email, as the College office computer and phone is busy, busy, and it might not get through. She is working at home on the project also, and will catch your articles there, for certain. This will be a two volume, at least, set of hard back books, navy blue cover, I'm told, and will have over 1000 stories in it, as of now. There are huge histories of businesses, and old places now gone, that dedicated helpers have hunted up material on, for the books. It will have an everyname index, and will be sold at an advanced sales price of $80.00 per set, but when that offer is closed, sets will be sold for $125.00 per set. You may want to go ahead and get your set ordered now. We don't know when the prepublication price will end yet, or at least, I'm not aware of it. They WILL let everyone know, though, pre closing of the prepub price. Probably via our website or email list here, and in the Advocate, I would think. Eakin Publishing of Austin, a division of it, will be doing the book for us. ( Northwest something or other, division of Eakin, I forget.) It's a reputable company. The letter on the book has gone out to all who preordered the book. I can't tell you anymore than this, and hope I have it all straight. You need to email Doris if you have further questions re the book. I haven't any other information. Shipping will be $10.00 EXTRA, if you want them shipped. Be sure and send along the extra cost listed below, if there is any, and your check made out to VCGS for 80.00 or if shipping it, 90.00, and your article if you are submitting it. You may use as many photos or lines/pages as you like, it just costs you for it. Two pages and one picture is free, as mentioned here. Hurry, WE can still make the deadline, and I do mean WE!!
