Edna LaFour sent along this piece of information. Thank you, Edna. Bj listmanager Like most people who are doing genealogy research, I prowl through cemeteries taking pictures of grave markers to remember names, dates, etc. Over the years I have acquired a nice pile of some very old markers. Usually I would scan them and send them to whom ever requested the information. Now I found a site that I can list person, scan the picture of the marker, scan a picture of the person and include a brief bio on them. It is free and simple to use. You can search this site by famous graves and non famous graves. Also by surname, state, county or cemetery. Even if you don't have a picture of the marker or person it is a great site to share info with others. http://www.findagrave.com -------------------------------- End of TXVICTOR-D Digest V00 Issue #75 ************************************** From root@lists6.rootsweb.com Tue Aug 1 19:19:38 2000 Return-Path: <root@lists6.rootsweb.com> Received: from lists6.rootsweb.com (lists6.rootsweb.com [63.92.80.125]) by listsearches.rootsweb.com (8.10.1/8.10.1) with ESMTP id e722Jcw26098 for <indexer@listsearches.rootsweb.com>; Tue, 1 Aug 2000 19:19:38 -0700 Received: (from root@localhost) by lists6.rootsweb.com (8.10.1/8.10.1) id e722Jdh17065 for indexer@listsearches.rootsweb.com; Tue, 1 Aug 2000 19:19:39 -0700 Date: Tue, 1 Aug 2000 19:19:39 -0700 Message-Id: <200008020219.e722Jdh17065@lists6.rootsweb.com> From: TXVICTOR-D-request@rootsweb.com Subject: TXVICTOR-D Digest V00 #75 X-Loop: TXVICTOR-D@rootsweb.com X-Mailing-List: <TXVICTOR-D@rootsweb.com> archive/volume00/75 Precedence: list MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/digest; boundary="----------------------------" To: TXVICTOR-D@rootsweb.com Reply-To: TXVICTOR-L@rootsweb.com ------------------------------ Content-Type: text/plain TXVICTOR-D Digest Volume 00 : Issue 75 Today's Topics: #1 Taking Tombstone Pictures ["coffey" <coffey@viptx.net>] #2 more on gravemarkers ["coffey" <coffey@viptx.net>] Administrivia: To unsubscribe from TXVICTOR-D, send a message to TXVICTOR-D-request@rootsweb.com that contains in the body of the message the command unsubscribe and no other text.
