    3. Most servers will allow the use of Front Page extensions on their (isp's) webserver, to some extent, but not a lot allow the use of ALL Front Page extensions. I want to let those of you know about it, if you are planning on building a website, and if you think you may want Front Page program to work with. I'm using it myself. You can use it at VIP now, from wherever you may live, by being a customer of this VIP isp. (no, I don't get discounts, pay, kickbacks, or freebie's) I wanted to let you know about it, because I use the server and wanted to use everything Front Page can do, it's such fun to work with, I think. There are other programs (even building with HTML from scratch for the "real computer people") that you can use, but Front Page can do such a lot others can't, unless you know a powerful lot about HTML. (I don't, just enough to get by) I just thought if you are looking for a home that will let you do what you want to with that product, then here it is. Yes, you can access your email from anywhere, from here. Write to http://www.viptx.net Tell them you want info re the account that allows Front Page extensions. It's new, and not yet listed on their site. Billye D. Jackson You can tell them I sent you, but it won't matter <grin>

I did see your grandfathers name on both a passenger list and on the 1880-Texas Federal Census Index, for Victoria County. There was also a Clara Jaschke on the 1880 Census Index for Jackson County. I have a copy of the Passanger List if you do not already have it, I'd be happy to send it to you. I am heading to Victoria and Edna this morning to visit some cemetaries and go thru the libraries. My time will be limited as I have to be back to Seguin to pick up my children from school. This will probably be one of many trips I make there. Thanks again, any help would be so appreciated.

My great grandfather was Wenzel Jaschke. It seems very likely that your great grandfather and mine were cousins. I personally am not familiar with the names Antonne, Franz and Rose Jaschke. I need to search my (limited)records and will then contact you again with more information about Wenzel Jaschke. I am definitely interested in pursuing how we may be related and shall look forward to further correspondence with you. Sincerely, Gladys

Tx Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Victoria/35 Surname: JASCHKE ------------------------- I am looking for links to my family line. My grt grandfather was Antonne Jaschke. It is said, that he came to Victoria, from Germany by way of Indianola. He traveled with his parents, Franz (Frank) and Rose, and his siblings, one brother and two or three sisters. It was also said that one of the sister's married a Sitterle of Victoria. I do not know any first names of the siblings or any dates. I know that my grt. grandfather married a Anna Neutze of Leon Springs, and fathered nine children with her. If you have any information that could help in my search, I'd be very greatful. Please e-mail me.

    2. Dear Victorians, I gathered this URL from a Kentucky rootsweb site. It should be MUST reading for every genealogist. One professional researcher/lecturer/author has stated in a large meeting that if you are doing Southern family history research and are NOT using land records, you are not doing research. Try this URL: http://users.arn.net/~billco/uslpr.htm Land records have helped me solve many a knotty family research problem. E.W.Wallace whose father was born in Victoria Co., TX
