Posted on: Victoria Co. Tx Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Victoria/63 Surname: Hiller, Munoz ------------------------- I am doing some research and need some help. I am looking for information on Lloyd Lewis HILLER, born in Victoria, TX on June 20, 1898. His father was Theodore F. HILLER and his mother was Susie MUNOZ. I have his social security application and his death certificate shows up in the CA death records for his death on October 9, 1973 in Santa Rosa, Sonoma, CA. He served in the army in World War I, and his wife's name was Willoughby June Longgale. Susie and Theo were married on February 21, 1894 in Victoria, TX with their marriage certificate being issued on Feb. 19. Susie was married by consent of her mother, Mrs. Louis Munoz. I have a photocopy of the marriage certificate from the Victoria County Clerk. Question: Would anyone have any information on Theo Hiller, Susie Munoz Hiller, or either ones' parents? I would love to know if they show up on the 1880 census with their families, or on the 1900 census as a married couple. I also have a lead on a possible match for Susie's parents. I have Louis Munoz marrying Euphemia Ortiz on Dec 21, 1868 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Victoria, TX. Does anyone have that address or would be willing to go to the church and get a copy of that record? Any help on these people would be greatly appreciated.

You might have to try, and try some more, a lot!!, but when you do get to see these pages, they are really nice ones on the story of Thanksgiving, and the early Mayflower people, plus the local natives of the area. This came today from our Rootsweb site, and I hope you don't overlook it. It's great. If you get that "can't display page" message, just hit your back button, and retry, and retry, and again retry until you do get access to it. It's EXTREMELY busy now. I had great difficulty in accessing each of the page links, but finally did get to see them all. bj http://www.plimoth.org/Library/pilgrim.htm

Hello, I have a picture of the old Kinsler (Kuentsler) home in Austwell, Refugio Co., right at Hynes Bay side, made ca 1930. My mom grew up with the Kinsler girls, and there is one lady possibly still alive, but maybe not, she was elderly last time I saw her about five years back. I do have a picture of that old home, and will be glad to share if you find it of use to you. I also have some of the three daughters of that house, and there were no sons in that particular family. You can probably find that family on the 1920 Refugio Co. TX Census, Austwell. My mom was born right there by them, and they all grew up together. I know the last one living lady lived just outside of Tivoli headed to Corpus, about a mile past, and on the left. A house set amid a huge cottonfield. I do have their names someplace, but do not know any of their ancestry myself. Sorry. Billye D. Wm. PIERPONT is in the New Handbook of Texas (available online at www.tsha.utexas.edu.handbook/online/). Agnes A. M. PIERPONT (age 13 on 1850 Jackson Co census) may be the Agnes listed on index of 1860 TX census as in Victoria County. I'd very much appreciate a census entry transcription of the household entry she's in. Also, marriage lookup (if this turns out to be the "Jackson Co." Agnes and she stayed got married in Victoria Co.). Ditto a check to see if any cemetery transcriptions might show if William and Elizabeth PIERPONT may have died in Victoria County. Interested in more biog. info. on Agnes. Many thanks in advance.

Gayle, John is correct. The McCann's are one of the wealthy families in Victoria. My mother has worked with them for many years and knows Kerry very well.
