Hi all! I am very excited to have found the Tyler Co, Texas home page and this mailing list. I was browsing through the GREAT online 1850 Census and saw that someone else was working on the James Burke and Benjamin Burke families. I think that I have their sister Cynthia in my family line. Please contact me with any information/hints you have that actually tied these me together and any thing else that you have. I will gladly share all that I have on Cynthia. Cynthia is also listed as being born in Kentucky and married Daniel Morrison in Louisiana in 1810. Her grandson, Walter Morrison came to live with James Burke and his family after 1860. Family tradition says that James Burke was "from his mother's family" (of course tradition says that they were living near Ft. Worth at the time and I found him in the Census with James Burke in Tyler Co). Walter's brother McKay is my ggrandfather. I also recently made contact with my "cousin", Walter Morrison's ggrandson. I also think that I found more of the Burke women in Mississippi, but have a LONG way to go to prove it. Again I would love to share any information that I have on this family.
