Hi Everybody! Anyone doing research on William DAVIS? He was (one of the) Rev. William DAVIS' in TYLER Co. and is buried in the Grimes Cemetery just north of Woodville. I've heard lots of oral history about "Methodist Circuit Rider", etc. but no proof. William DAVIS b. 2 Mar 1826, TN d. 1899 bur. Tyler Co. TX m1. CRUNK, Zaselda, 12 Oct 1843 (Rusk Co, TX) m2. HITHCOX/HEATHCOCK, Francis A. 2 Mar 1854, Cherokee Co. TX. William and Frances lived in the Smith Ferry, TX area. I have some info on children and am descendant from his first marriage. Have copy of Bible page also.
