Last summer, I visited Chester and was lucky to find someone who could take me to the family plots of Dr. and Mrs. S.P. Willson, son and au.-in-law Hiram and Mary Amanda (STOW/EWING) and son-in-law and dau. Grant and Julia PAYNE, dau and son-in-law Danial R. and Lydia Almyra SMITH. The plots are north of Chester, deep in the woods, in the old Suphur Springs area. The grave of "Alphonso BAILEY, d. May 29, 1857, aged 27 years, 5 months, 4 days" is in the Payne plot. I don't know who this was and can't find him on the 1850 census. Anyone have a clue? He is under one of those large plates that covers the entire grave. Brenda ------------------------------
