Does anyone have or know of a source of county maps for 1850-60? I don't want just boundry maps; I like to see something with roads, settlements on it. My family apparently lived at Peach Tree and owned the sanitorium at Sulphur Springs. That seems a little far to travel each day by buggy. They're buried near Sulphur Springs; maybe that's where they lived after their initial move to Peach Tree. I should probably look at deed records for the time period. Hmmmm: I was just noticing: William DAVIS and Zaselda CRUNK named two of their children after *her* parents. Zaselda's father was *John Wesley* CRUNK and Zaselda's mother was *Louisa* MAYES/MAIZE. Wonder if the other two (Eliza and William Eads) were named after *his* side? Worth filing away in the back of the old brain... I�ve included some of the descendants of William DAVIS below. The the dates of birth on the 2nd generation children are from a copy of the Davis Family Bible page (presume that of William and Frances) that appears to have been done about 1859 as the handwriting is similar through that date. The Bible page does not list Zaselda at all, but does list their four children and does mention two marriages: That of William DAVIS to Francis HEATHCOCK (sic) and that of "John W. DAVIS and Mary Elizabeth ANDING". So they're *mine* *mine* *mine* *mine* for sure! Does anyone have *any* connections? He had so *many* children and many stayed in Tyler Co. until death did they part.
