Thanks, Stephanie I doubt if it is the same one, but thought I would mention it. There was a Lewis Lindsay that Lindsay, OK was named for. His wife was part Choctaw. I have that line if it happens to be the same one; however, I do not believe "beard" fits in either. I believe there were Beards that were Choctaw Indians. It has been surprising to me how few people born around 1900 knew even the maiden name of their own mother. If you are not familiar with the Dawes Final Roll to check her out, I can help you there.
