I checked on the person that sent the spam, and found they had sent it to many, many Rootsweb lists. I wrote Rootsweb, everyone else should complain too. If you click on the message and on the mailing list page click on the name of the person you will find "all" the lists they sent this stuff to, also their address. Maybe we should forward all our spam to that person ???
I receive this spam about two weeks ago. The "From" was someone that I was e-mailing almost daily. The message said "screen saver you will like this one". I clicked on the attachment and when I opened it up it started stripping McAfee from my computer and then went after my address book. McAfee says this started in Japan. I have a new rule I don't open any attachment unless there is a message in the body that is of intrest to me. Everyone that sends an attachment should put their whole name in body of message. That will stop some of this stuff. Sam E.
