If a cemetary is "moved", or "re-located", wouldn't something have to be publlished in the local newspaper, regarding this? If memory serves me correct, just 2 or 3 years ago, I read something in the paper, about a cemetary possibly being moved, to make way for a new highway. This was in Chambers county, and had nothing to do with Tyler county. However, I think they were trying to locate anyone having interest in the folks buried in that particular cemetary. I'm not sure if they would have had to actually move everyone's remains, as well as headstones, etc. However, maybe it would be a good idea to search the local papers, to see if something may have been publised, informing the public of such wishes. I'm sure there would be some sort of legal ramifications to doing something like this. Pam
