I just discovered this ancestor, gg-grandfather. He was born about 1802 in North Carolina. His wife Laticia was born about 1809 in Georgia. They appear in the Tyler County census in the Woodville area in the 1870 and 1880 census. I've identified two children so far, William Green (g-grandfather) born 1832 in North Carolina and Elijah, born 1839 in Tennessee. Elijah was recorded as insane on both censuses.
