He was born in Feb. 1870, in Arkansas. He had a family; his wife name was Lizzie (maiden name unknown), four girls: Easter (grandmother), Kate, Essie, and Estell; one son: Jesse. They were in the 1900 census of Pike co.Ar. for the black population. Later they moved to Texas (East Texas-Smith Co.). George married a Minerva Lee.
