No children. I know the least on this family of all the families I have tracked and you are the first person to contact me. That 1850 Polk Co census has A C Somers and Henry Somers both born is 1810. So I am thinking they are twins. Both born in Alabama. A C is Albert and his property was worth 10 grand which is a lot of money for those days. The hand me down story is that he was a surveyor and surveyed lots of property in East Texas. Also had a cotton farm in Soda Tx. I could refer you to my Williams/McWilliams of East Texas site for further reading about this family. A good place to look for this Henry is in the School System in Polk Co as they would probably be records of his employment and just maybe a personal history.
