Surnames: Platt, Barclay, Futch, Gibbs Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DAC.2ACI/666 Message Board Post: I have a marriage record in Tyler County for G.W. Platt and R.G. Barclay on 11 Feb. 1874. I think this may be George Washington Platt and Aurelia T. Barclay. She was the daughter of Anderson and Sarah Ann (Prather) Barclay. She was called Aunt 'Reely' (not sure if this is spelled correctly) by the family so that's why I think her correct name was Aurelia. When she married she probably told the clerk her name was Reely Barclay and that is why it is listed as R.G. (or R.T.) They had two daughters, Kenora and Georgia. Could someone help me prove or disprove this? Some have named her Amelia and some Artelia. In Polk County 8 Oct. 1890 Aurelia T. Platt married E. F. Gibbs. Does anyone have anything on this G.W. Platt? There is a possibility that he was a son of Bishop and Matilda (Futch) Platt and he was born about 1852. Thanks for any help. Jean W. Pace

    3. I am searching for information and Rawls family members that might have information on my family. I am interested to find out about the tombstones of James J. and Rachel Rawls. They were my ggrandparents. My mother was Erma May (Hicks) and her mother was SaraH Ann (Sally)Rawls. Carolyn Wilson Armistead

He told us that was not her real name but they all called her that. I think it was his great grandmother. Anyway was wondering if anyone remembers her and who she really was. Thanks, Stephanie I doubt if it is the same one, but thought I would mention it. There was a Lewis Lindsay that Lindsay, OK was named for. His wife was part Choctaw. I have that line if it happens to be the same one; however, I do not believe "beard" fits in either. I believe there were Beards that were Choctaw Indians. It has been surprising to me how few people born around 1900 knew even the maiden name of their own mother. If you are not familiar with the Dawes Final Roll to check her out, I can help you there. Marlene
