William is in his father's house (651/651) on the 1850 Rapides Parish census enumerated 1 Nov 1850. In looking for William, I discovered William Strother 50 born LA, wife Martha 46, and children Melissa 22, William W 21, Candacy 18, and Anna A 6 in Precinct 4 of the 1880 Trinity Co, TX census. As Johnson, Willis & Maricles I'm researching were also in Trinity Co, I figured perhaps this was "my" William. I've seen on the Trinity Co Rootsweb site that Melissa married T R Womack 18 Nov 1880 in Trinity Co. I'm a direct descendant of William's brother, Alexander Asaria Strother, Sr. Hoping to hear from you soon.
