Rains was married to Martha Thomas daughter of William Thomas b. October 3, 1800 in Franklin Co., GA, and Susan Elizabeth Burk b. Dec. 1814 in Greene Co. GA. According to Census Records, Martha Thomas and Robert S. Rains had 8 children. They were Laura E., William Oscar, Della V., Beulah, Ardie Robert, Hubert?, Calvin, and 1 more. On Census records it looked like Jaddie or Jessie. Maybe it was Gaston. Hubert was not written clearly either, so I have a question mark by his name. How are they kin to the Dominy's?
