No I do not have their children. But I believe her family would have been Mother,Adeline Gandy Odom Smith 1842-1933)and Father Simon Jackson Smith (1842-1877).There were six children of this second marriage in 1866..First marriage was to James Manly Odom(1832-1862) in 1858. She was sixteen.Was widowed a year after the War Bwtween the States began. He served with the Confederates..They had one son,James Albert Manley Odom(1861-1904) .Simon was a Confederate vetern from La. The six children were George Washington (1866-1952)Lou Ada (1868-1939)Francis (1870-1940) Evander (1872-1955)Jennie (1874-1958)and Carrie (1877-1950)They moved to Texas settling in Trinity County in 1875. Two years after arriving Simon died at age 35 leaving Adaline widowed for second time with seven childremn age 16 to six months to raise.She did make a living for herself and the seven children.Adaline dies at the age of 91,widely known,respected and loved in Trinity County.She is buried in the B! urke Cemetery.Present for the Dedication of a memorial on Aug.31,1985 Among the 14 Grandchildren who were present were Florence Oliver Smith,Dave Crockett Smithand Lula Oliver Vaughn children of Carrie Smith Oliver.This is taken from page 597 of "Trinity County Beginnings".
