My James Turner Deaton, Sr. was born 1826 in Carroll county,Tenn. He was married to Mary Jane Maness (d/o Hiram Maness) and then to Rachael ? The son James Turner Deaton,Jr. (nickname "J.T."), was born in 1862 and was married to Emma Lula Miller. They had children named Roscoe, Sherman, Edna (my grandmother) Janie, Ruby, and several others. If any of this sounds familiar to anyone, please contact me at, DMcMannes@houston.rr.com.
