He and his first wife were my great, great-grandparents. One of David's daughters, Martha married Perry Thorne; One of their daughters, Ida Bell married Jacob Richardson. Their daughter, Lessie is my Mom. I've been able to search this line backwards to Culpepper County, VA and Hancock County, GA but haven't had time in the last year to do much more with it. Good to meet another cousin! Amy McCroskie Greenville, Texas

David Felder Richardson was my great grandfather. He was married 4 times having children by 3 of his wives. His first wife, Alicy H. Foster and he had several children, one of which was indeed Francis Young Richardson who married Thomas Butler. He and his second wife, Mercy Baker Smith also had several children one of which was my grandfather Benjamin Franklin Richardson who was mygrandfather. My mother was daughter of Benjamin Franklin. I have information on 10 generations of the Richardsons on my mothers side of the family. One of my mother's brothers, Thomas Felder Richardson did extensive research on this line and passed it on to me. before he died in 1975. I don't, however have any info on the Butler family. The Richardsons and Trevathans are all from Trinity County, Tx. Any other info you might have on the Richardsons please e-mail me at maxinegm@ev1.net.

I was wondering if someone could look up two names for me in the Confederate Indigent Families of Texas 1863-1865, transcribed by Linda Mearse, for Trinity County? I need to find whoever was living with the following two individuals (GW Foster and SA Spires, my great-great grandparents) at the time this list was compiled. The genealogy library here at the Texas State Archives is closed on Monday and the University of Texas library system doesn't own a copy of this book (I work during the week), so I am unable to look at the book until Saturday. I would appreciate any help with this matter. Richard Foster Austin, TX
