Since these people were buried in Oakwood, there was obviously an Austin connection. Have you searched the Austin City Directories? They are located at the Center for American History at the University of Texas at Austin. The building in on Red River and is the last one before the LBJ library. They are a gold mine of information, giving location, occupations, employer, and sometimes even marital status. Oakwood was created to be the "city cemetery." Unless someone had a family farm or another place to be buried they ended up in Oakwood. The early records of Oakwood (Alexander Eanes was the sexton, his brother Richard began the school on the Eanes property which later became the Eanes school district) were the death records of Austin. So you have both the cemetery records and the death records as the same record. I'm going to take it for granted that you have done the research in Williamson Co. to establish the connection there. Good luck. Rondina P. Muncy Grapevine, Texas Rondina P. Muncy Grapevine, Texas
