Daughter, Lavinia Alice (Cole) Beaver always listed her father, William Cole, as having been born in Missouri on all the U.S. census. Daughter, Lavinia Alice (Cole) Beaver was born in Arkansas, and she and her father, William C. Cole & mother Margaret J. (Martin) Gable Hill, move to Texas. He, William C. Cole, was shown as 60 years of age in the Travis County, Texas U.S. 1880 census, and living with his sister-in-law & brother-in-law, and family, Susan Ellen (Martin) Virdell & John Ellison Virdell.
