Gahring, maybe published Feb. 7, 1995 in the Austin American-Statesman, and an obit for Katherine M. Gahring, dated Aug. 20, 1993, also in the American-Statesman. The couple lived in Elgin. If someone has access to back copies of the newspaper I would greatly appreciate the help.
