The wedding took place in Austin Wednesday night. The shower was a surprise to the honor guests for they had been invited only to dinner. Mrs. Melvin Ashmore and Miss Ruby Dell Ashmore assisted the hosts in serving a salad course to the following guests: Mr & Mrs Eubie Howell, Mr & Mrs Robert Francis of Austin, Mr & Mrs Frank Ashmore, Mr & Mrs Ernie Howell, Mr & Mrs W.J. That was really neat to read. By chance, do you have access to newspapers for Austin? I would be interested in some look-ups if you do. But, again, enjoyed reading that news clipping about social life back then. My family lived in the Manor, Elgin and Decker area so that was fun to hear about. Are you by any chance connected to the Ashmore or Howell families who lived in the Manor and Austin area?
