I have been married to my husband for 29 years, and as far as I know no one in his family has ever known Henry Eismann's first wife's name. They are descended from Henry and his second wife, Bertha Wolf. Is Teoppich a German name? I have never heard of it before. We do know a lot about Henry Eismann. He came to America from Germany when he was 16. He helped to build the Texas Capitol, and he was one of the workmen who put the "Lady" on the top! The Capitol was finished in Feb. 1888, so it is interesting to see that he married Augusta at the end of that year. I think they had Rosa, Max, Otto, and Oscar, and then she died. Then Henry married Bertha Wolf. Their first child, Henry Richard, was born either 1902 or 03. Then came my husband's grandmother, Gertrude Luise in 1905. And then they had 7 more. Henry's last child was born in 1926 when Henry was 66! Henry and Bertha farmed in Needville, Texas. Thank you for the information. I did not know anything except her name. I would love to know more about the Teoppich family, such as names of siblings, where they lived, etc., if you know it. Thank you, Julie Chappell Austin, Texas
