Hi Kay, That's o.k., it's nice to have some one verify. I do have the print out of the census record, though. I sub to ancestry.com & genealogy.com and have not found him in 1870. I think the name was probably, misspelled. I'm still looking for him as; Casy, Case, Casee, Kayce, Kaysee, Kaysey, Kaysy, you name it. <G> I appreciate your help. Hi, Sue I thought I might try some "creative" searches of my 1870 census index CD using given names and initials rather than the surname. I found the following in Travis County. It's definitely a stretch, but might be worth taking a look at. If the "E." stood for Elmos, this might be who you're looking for. Unfortunately, this index doesn't give age or birthplace.
