There is one low point where (it appears) that the homeless people cross over from the store onto the property. You're not kidding about the homeless people, they are all over that area. I'm going to take my chances and cross over the fence. Thank you for your response, it is greatly appreciated. Also, I don't see any headstones when I look from the side of the fence. Do you have any input regarding where they are located on the property? From just looking outside the fence, one wouldn't recognize the property as a cemetery. Once again, thank you. > > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 > >

    1. [TXTRAVIS] William TURNER in 1880 Travis Co Census
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Turner, Harrisons Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CAC.2ACI/397 Message Board Post: I am looking for information about William Turner who came to Travis Co TX from Saline, Miller Co MO with his wife Martha Harrison Turner and his son , James Clyde Turner. He was born in TN and his wife Martha was born in Missouri but she was a descendant of the Harrisons of Virginia! I understand that he was a student at the University of Texas law school back then or that he clerked at an Ausitin attorney's office and that he may have been a judge of some sort, possibly a JP or a municipal judge. William would have been about 40 or 50 at that time. This is all news to me. If any of the excellent genealogy researchers in Austin, Travis Co Community could help me out here, I would surely appreciate it! P.S. James Clyde Turner, the son, became one of the Texas Rangers that hunted Sam Bass!

He passed away in 1914 and is buried in Stillwater so could not be part of your line but possibly part of the same line. All I know is that our Albert Farnsworth's dad was Sheriff of Stillwater, OK in 1850. Have you been able to research back any to what line your dad was from?
