The website has printable form to complete, mail to Austin to obtain copy of death certificate. I did not find a city named Natalie in the town/county identifier on Rootsweb. http://resources.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/townco.cgi ? FOX, CAROL LYNN 07-Jan-1956, Bell Co Fox, Rocky Wayne 11-11-1957, La Salle County Can not find all of the births based on the names you provided.
For Travis County your need to look at the Austin History Center which has the Sanborn maps, Austin newspaper microfilm, photographs, books, manuscripts, vertical files, etc. Early Austinites that lived in the city limits were buried in Oakwood Cemetery. Its records are also now located at the Center. Court records are located in the courthouse downtown, with vitals and deeds located in the courthouse annex in north Austin. I would use LDS microfilm first. The Center for American History at the University of Texas at Austin has the Sanborn maps also and the city directories. Of course, the census images can be found at HeritageQuest, available through public libraries for remote use at home or business. The best book I have found on Austin's history is Mary Starr Barkley's History of Travis County and Austin, 1839-1899. It is out-of-print, but I found a copy on the Internet. I'm sure it can be interlibrary-loaned. Her book is based on information she obtained from the city directories and newspapers. I have a downloadable map of the original city of Austin that I took to Kinko's and had blown up to about 4 X 6 feet. I can't remember which site it is on, but I use it to plot the known addresses, churches, and businesses of a family and its allied families. I would be glad to send it to you. If you are seriously into Austin research and would like to contact me personally, I would be glad to answer any questions. My e-mail address is Rondina7@aol.com. Rondina P. Muncy Grapevine, Texas

Kay, How far back in time do the death and birth certificates go? Lee Anne
There are price increase on all vital records from the State Health Department. Those are the only 2 that mentioned by name. Kay
Thanks for the info, Kay, however I'm curious. From what agency? State? County? Does this include old records or only recent births and deaths? I have been married to my husband for 29 years, and as far as I know no one in his family has ever known Henry Eismann's first wife's name. They are descended from Henry and his second wife, Bertha Wolf. Is Teoppich a German name? I have never heard of it before. We do know a lot about Henry Eismann. He came to America from Germany when he was 16. He helped to build the Texas Capitol, and he was one of the workmen who put the "Lady" on the top! The Capitol was finished in Feb. 1888, so it is interesting to see that he married Augusta at the end of that year. I think they had Rosa, Max, Otto, and Oscar, and then she died. Then Henry married Bertha Wolf. Their first child, Henry Richard, was born either 1902 or 03. Then came my husband's grandmother, Gertrude Luise in 1905. And then they had 7 more. Henry's last child was born in 1926 when Henry was 66! Henry and Bertha farmed in Needville, Texas. Thank you for the information. I did not know anything except her name. I would love to know more about the Teoppich family, such as names of siblings, where they lived, etc., if you know it. Thank you, Julie Chappell Austin, Texas
