    2. I looked for several days after the death date you gave, but I did not find an obit. The Texas Death Index does not show a Thelma Crow dying in Texas in 1968. 2. Beverly, I'm going to toss out some suggestions, although none may be new ideas to you. Have you tried the Austin History Center? I'm not sure where O'Henry was in prison and you didn't state the years. Was he in Austin for five years? I don't think so. You should be able to find a record of his arrest at the History Center though as the jail logs are archived there. I doubt the Center for American History at the University of Texas at Austin would have anything, but are you aware that they have almost all the early directories of Austin. O'Henry would have been listed with his location for every year. The State Archives should have the information about where the state prison is. You should be able to contact them by e-mail. I have done alot of research on families that lived in Austin during the same time that O'Henry lived there. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me. Rondina P. 1. Family Birth Record Lookup
    2. Hello Travis County, I have just learned that my great uncle, HOMER C. WEAVER, Was born in Travis County, Texas, on 12 Dec. 1880. He was living there as late as 1942. Is there any one there that could look Homer's birth record up at the Court House or the public library? I realize that records were not required in 1880 but some larger Cities did keep some records and his might be one of them. Thank You. Don, in Oklahoma

    3. My grandfather was born in Greensboro, NC and O'Henry's father was their family Dr. My grandfather was about 13 years older than O'Henry, and they both left Greensboro to seek their fortune, but they kept in touch. He always told about going to visit O'Henry when he was in prison in Austin. I have three accounts of O'Henry's life, but still I am not sure exactly when he was in prison there. I'm sure someone has made O'Henry the subject of their research. Can someone help me? Beverly rbevans1@cox.net
