I have a great great grandfather by the name of E. C. MARTIN who was born about 1830 S.C./GA? I found him in the 1860 census and shows his father and mother were born in S. C. I do not know what county. He first married Martha Rogers? about 1860 in Winnfield, Winn, LA. They moved to Arkansas about 1870 and Martha died? about 1873?. He was found in the 1880 census with his 6 children (5 girls, 1 boy) in Grayson, Co., Texas. He later moved to Red River Co., Texas. This is where he married his second wife Jane Winnsworth about 1881. His daughter Mary Alice MARTIN born 1863 in Louisanna, married 1882 in Annona, Red River, Co., Texas to Yancy King David HALL born in Alabama about 1844. I know that Mary and Yancy lived in Annona till 1900 later moved around the Brownwood, Texas area. My grandmother Angie Bell HALL DAY CLARK married Robert Franklin DAY in Brownwood in 1905. After Yancy died in Eastland Co., Texas, Mary moved to Fort Worth around 1935. She lived on Lorriane Steet till she died in 1949. If anyone has a connection to this family PLEASE contact me. This is my brick wall. I do not know who E. C. MARTIN'S father and mother are and who Yancy's father and mother.
