Any other ideas for information sources? This IS a VERY GOOD Question !! I have suspected for years it was a conspiracy by my ancestors to block my exploring their business........ (ha Ha!) The 1860 census is missing and the court house burned in 1876 distroying many of the records we need. Some early probate records do still exist - this is worth checking if your person died during those years. I have found the Tax records VERY good and quite useful. What you find online on the Tarrant Co. page is only those I had an opportunity to abstract. There was more......much more. The Ft Worth Genealogy Society's Quarterly publications have a lot of good information that may be in other books but I've not run into it. So.......where have YOU found helpful info for Tarrant Co research??
