He married CHRISTINA EATON 16 May 1812 in Knox Co, Indiana Territory. She was born 6 Mar 1797 in Kentucky, and died 30 Nov 1862 in Grapevine, Tarrant Co, Texas. Notes for CHRISTINA EATON: Elias and Christina moved to Illinois Territory shortly after the marriage. Christina is believed to be half-Cherokee, and the first person buried at Parker Memorial Cemetery. Their son-in-law, Isaac Green Parker, owned the land, and his widow, Polly, deeded the property for use as a public burial ground in 1881. Until 1937, it was known as Clements Cemetery.
