Hello Subscribers, I have a relative that died at Bird's Fort in the winter of 1841 (either late December or early January). His name was Solomon Silkwood and I would like to know more about him and his time at Bird's Fort. I would like to know his age, if he had a wife and family, were they at the Fort etc.., It is possible he was part of the Texas Militia, 4th Brigade. Anyone knowing an extensive history that has been written about the Fort or a Roster of the Texas Militia would also be of great help. Thanks in Advance Jerry
