Thanks to Linda, who gave great info about cemeteries in Tarrant County. When I saw that Pruitt inquiry, I got out my copy of an 1895 map of Tarrant county, which has names of owners of land at the time as well as where cemeteries and churches and schools were. I did not find the name "Pruitt" but the map does show my grandparents' places, including Campbell McCarty's land near Roanoke, as well as the place I was born (called Thompson land then) in what is now Smithfield. Many of the names on the map are of my relatives, or people my parents knew. I cant remember where I bought the map some years ago, but I would be glad to look for names, etc. Anelle McCarty Kloski
