Hello everybody, The folks at RootWeb are talking about resetting the status of all mailing lists to that of "closed" (restricted). They are in a never ending battle trying to keep spam from the lists. They have caught a dozen or so spam messages since I became listowner about a month ago. What does this mean for us? As near as I can tell from the posts, the biggest change you will see is that only subscribers to the list will be able to post. I cannot forsee any problems with that. It appears that subscribing and unsubscribing to the list may become less automatic. There may be a short period of adjustment while I learn how to operate functions of the list smoothly. This could mean a short delay when subbing or unsubbing. So, if you see messages in this forum stating that the mailing list is now closed, don't be alarmed.
