    1. [TXTARRAN-L] sibling search
    2. To whom it may concern: iIhave just received more info concerning my missing half sibling. I say sibling because I was talking with my parents last night and found out that the baby was not born when my father was notified that "Millie" was pregnant. So it could possibly be a woman. Millie did say that she would name the baby after my father if it was a boy, so the name would be Robert or Larry Espenshade. I also have pinpointed a more accurate range of time of birth. The child would have been born in the early part of 1946, probably April or May. It is very difficult to get my parents to remember or disclose information, please be patient and thank all of you who responded to me. Sincerely, John Espenshade

    2. This is a little before my time. I seem to recall many people refering to the plant as Convair. I believe that name came between Consolidated and General Dynamics. Or maybe that was another name for Consolidated. 1. [TXTARRAN-L] HIRAM Z. WEBSTER
    2. Dotte Schneider
    3. Searching for the gravesite of my g/g/grandfather, Hiram Z. Webster - said to have died and buried in "Fort Worth." I shall say the Fort Worth area. The family had been in west Texas as some place called "Southland," but after a few years they sold out and moved to be near their daughter, Carrie, a nurse in Fort Worth. I believe his date of death would have been after 1915. They moved from Iowa to Texas about 1912. Hiram Zenas Webster was born in Madison County, Illinois in 1829. His wife, Mary, moved with a daughter to Dearborn where she died. There are no records of any family members having remained in Texas. I have queried two of the cemetery lists. If anybody happen to find his gravesite or spot his name in county records, I hope you'll remember my query? Thanks a lot! Dotte

    3. When the aircraft plant opened in the 40's, it was known as Consolidated Aircraft, a.k.a., I think Air Force Plant #4. They made thousands of B-24 Liberator Bombers. It was later bought and renamed as General Dynamic, a.k.a. 'GD'. Several years ago, it was bought by Lockheed, the name it is now known. 2. Hello Everyone, I am a newcomer to this list. After over 5 years of actively searching for my paternal grandfather I received his death certificate yesterday. He died in 1957 of tuberculosis @ the ELMWOOD SANITORIUM. I was told that it is not in existence anymore. Does anyone out there know about this sanitorium? If so, was it strictly for TB patients or was it a nursing home of sorts? Would appreciate any information someone might have. Thanks so much!!! Terri Knight Arlington Hts, IL

    2. Gene Grady
    3. Hi List, A while back I had wrote to rootsweb asking that they setup a page for volunteer donations. I have had people do a lookup or take photos, or do something for me that had to cost them. When I try to pay them, they refuse it. I suggested that a page be setup that will show donations made in the volunteers name. This will give the volunteer recognition for their good deeds, the recipient of the deeds gets to show their appreciation by making a donation in the volunteers name, and rootsweb gets funds to help them continue helping us. I feel this will work for everyone. Thanks, Gene Grady nks, Gene Grady
