Many members of the Taliaferro family live in Tarrant County. Myself, my brother and sister were all born in Fort Worth. My Dad who was born there researched our family history after 43 years of effort. He passed away in 1995 and this last year I published his book "The Taliaferro Family - Three Centuries In America." If you want to learn more about this book (what's in it and how much it costs) please visit my website at http://www.assentweb.com/taliaferro Thank you very much.
I would like to hear from anyone that has family members or friends buried in the Hudson Cemetery south of Fort Worth. I am trying to compile a listing of those buried with and without stones, give a little history of each one, and find how they are related to each other. I think it would be a good item to sell as a money maker to help support the cemetery. This would also be a way to honor and preserve the memory of our loved ones buried there. I will be looking forward to hearing from you. Lenora
You can also call them and use a credit card to order the birth certificate and get it rather quickly. The cost is about $13 before postage and handling. They are still in Tarrant Co. in 1900. They are then said to move to Wise Co. and then to Olney, Young Co. Stories told, said that Hawkins, Lunns, Cheves also moved with them. Could anyone point me in the right direction to get in touch with someone regarding the Grapevine cemetery. I have a relative that is supposed to be buried in there and would like to write or call them for information. I don't believe that it is showing up in books, etc. due to it being an unmarked grave. Her name is Susan Catherine Davis. 1846-1881. Roy Brown
Searching for the name Ponett in 1860 to 1880 range in North Central TX. Mary Ponett married my Gr-Grandfather Isaac T. Brown abt 1870 Tarrant Co.TX. In their household was Mary's younger sister Harriet Ponett. The name Ponett was scratched through on the census, so it is very difficult to read. The spelling could be slightly different. In the 1860 census my Browns were in Garden Valley TX, Smith Co TX. In 1880 they were in Johnson Station,Tarrant Co.TX. Thank You Bill Bentley

Hi I am searching for a friend of my daughters who was living in Austin, Tarrant County, TX in the 1970's. His name is Kenneth Jordan. He was born in Artesia, New Mexico in 1953-1960 and lived in Midland, Texas where he graduated in about 1974-75. He then moved to Austin and we lost him. His mother's name was Norma Jordan and his father's name was Kirk Jordan and they were divorced when Ken was about 8-12. He has a brother named Greg Jordan. If anyone knows him or his wherabouts tell him Jackie and her daughter Juli would love to visit with him - or give me his whereabouts the last time you knew of him. He was a very good friend to my daughter and she thinks about him a lot and would love to talk to him. Back to genealogy - I am researching the LEDBETTER and TILL families and I would appreciate any information you might have on the following: Jennettie "Nettie" Irene LEDBETTER b 11/18/1893 in Spring Creek, San Saba County, TX, d 2/1973 in Ft. Worth, Tarrant Co, TX, m 7/20/1908 in Mills County, TX to Scott E. RUTHERFORD, b 4/11/1889 and d 10/1967 in Ft. Worth, Tarrant County, TX. Scott, who was a long time railroad worker, & Jennettie, who was a registered nurse, lived in Ft. Worth and had one son, Raymond RUTHERFORD. I haven't determined Raymonds birth or death date but believe he would have been born between 1908 and 1925 probably in Ft. Worth, TX. I believe Raymond moved to Las Cruces, Dona Anna County, NM but I don't know the date or if he stayed there. I believe he was a school teacher/principal. Thanks a million - Jackie in Houston, TX .............Happy Hunting.............. :0 :) smile through it all!!!

Hi, I am looking for info on an Osborne family that apparently moved from Penn. to the Ft Worth area in the late 1800s. My Great grandmother was Lois Osborne Anderson, born in PA, who married my GGrandfather, Quinton Anderson, on Lois' parents' ranch near Ft Worth. I'd like to find out more about the Osbornes of Ft Worth, Tx, especially her parents. Thanks. Jim
