Do any of you know anything about Martin DEFOREST? I find him on the 1870 census in San Saba Co. At that time he was 40 yrs old, born Kentucky. On this census Elizabeth and infant son, Isaac were living in his household. I believe she is Elizabeth (James) Bryant and her son, Isaac Bryant, though the census does not record their Bryant name. The only other place we have found mention of him is his and his wife, Jane/Jana's presence at a title tranfer when the property of Cyrus H. James (Elizabeth's father) was quit-claimed to his oldest son, O.C.James, after Cyrus died. The quit-claim was in 1887. If you know anything at all about this man, please let me know. Thanks, Margaret
