Someone on the list (unsigned inquiry) recently asked about a Hallet K. Ballard and wife Rosa. I took the liberty of looking at my 1900 San Saba census and found them listed with the following children (in 1900): H. K. BALLARD, born 3-1870 Rosa, wife, born 4-1877 Pal BALLARD, son, born in TX 8-1895 Cecil BALLARD, son, born in TX 1-1897 Jimlin BALLARD, son, born in TX 6-1899. Also living with the Ballard family at this time is an Ellmer CREECH and Charlie WILLIAMS, listed as "boarders". In also checking the Marriage Index book that I have, it appears that H. K. Ballard and Rosie Speegle married on 10-18-1894. When I checked the index for burials in San Saba cemeteries, I found only Cecil - whos middle name apparently was Cecil Bryan Ballard, born 1-14-1897 and died 4-22-1904 - at age 7. There is also an Arthur Hill Ballard - born 2-8-1912 and died 9-11-1912 (7 months old) who is buried next to Cecil so I am assuming he is related.......
