At that time the records appear as "Minutes District Court," and if I remember correctly, they were organized by county (it's been a few years since I did this). I THINK (but don't hold me to it) that I had the option to order the minutes for the "District Court" OR the "Ordinary Court." Again, I THINK the Ordinary Court deals with civil disputes, and District is for criminal cases. When I ordered the records, my local library had a reference book for me to review that briefly outlined what was available by county. I know what you mean about some relatives who don't want to "know." I had an ancestor who was a member of the notorious 'MOB.' The details passed down in the family about his murder conviction and eventual pardon were different than the facts as I've been able to discover them. Talk about family not wanting to know the truth! Good Luck! Lisa Mitchell bslick7819@aol.com
