His parents were John Christenberry Brewster and Mary J. McFadden. They were married 14-MAR-1844 in Murray Co., GA. John C. was born about 1820 in GA and Mary J. was born about 1827 in VA. John C. died in the Civil War and Mary J. died after 1880, probably in Floyd Co., GA. I know nothing more about John C.'s ancestry. Perhaps his Civil War record will help. As far as I know, William J. and the San Saba Co., TX, Brewsters are unrelated. Happy hunting!! Jeannie-ology : )
